DESIGNER AGREEMENT: STEP 1 of 3

Event Dates:

Create-a-Thon: Friday October 2nd 6pm to Sunday October 6th, 2026 6pm.
Fashion Show: Saturday October 10th, 2026 5-6:30pm
VIP starts at 4pm, Doors 4:30pm Rehearsal starts 11am to 1pm depending on the fashion show section you are in.

Registration Fee: $100.00 (non-transferable)

Event Description:

The Fashion Lab Sedona 48 Hour Create-a-Thon is an inclusive gathering for professional, upcoming hobbyist, and beginner designers to up-cycle clothing and recycled fabrics into wearable fashion. For 48 hours, we will work together in a collaborative environment to create unique pieces that will be showcased on the runway at the Fashion Show on Saturday, October 10th, 2026.

Designers must show their garment(s) at 3pm on Sunday October 4th at ULM to be considered for our 2nd annual $5,000 Sustainable Fashion Design Award. This event is not a competition but a creative community project designed to empower designers, foster connection, skill sharing, and fun.

1. Participants are responsible for:

  • Bringing their own fabric, clothing, sewing machines, sergers, tools, thread, and recycled materials.

  • Providing their own model/s to present their creations at the Fashion Show.

2. Schedule

Friday, October 2nd at 6:00 pm

• Check-in at Ultimate Light Mission, Sedona.

• Bring your tools, fabrics, trims, and optional sleeping bags/snacks if working late or overnight.

Saturday, October 3rd – All Day

• Create-a-Thon continues.

Sunday, October 4th at 3:00 pm

• Designer entry into the fashion show, then wrap-up, clean-up, and pack-up.

Friday, October 9th – Between 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

• Set up in dressing room at Brady Hall

Saturday, October 10th – Arrive at 11:00 am or 1pm, stay until 6:30 pm

• Fashion Show

3. Limited Liability

Participant acknowledges that participation may involve physical activity, handling of tools, and interaction with others. To the fullest extent permitted by law, participant releases and holds harmless the Event Organizers, sponsors, venue owners, staff, volunteers, and affiliates (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability for injury, illness, property damage, or loss arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Released Parties. Participant assumes full responsibility for their own safety and belongings.

4. Personal Conduct

Participants must:

  • Act respectfully toward all attendees, staff, and venue property.

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

  • Follow all safety instructions given by event staff.

  • Violation of these terms may result in removal without refund.

  • Please provide a 100-word profile.

5. Media Licensing & Release

By participating, Participant grants Event Organizers the worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free right to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture their likeness, work, and voice during the Event, and to use such media for promotional, educational, and archival purposes in any format, without further notice or compensation.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Registrations canceled more than 30 days before October 2nd, 2026, may be eligible for a 50% refund

  • less processing fees.

  • No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the Event or for no-shows.

  • If the Event is canceled by Organizers, all registered participants will receive a full refund.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

By signing below, Participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Registration Agreement.
