WhAT IS CREATE-A-THON?
Fashion Lab Sedona designed Create-A-Thon as a place for creatives to upcycle clothing and recycled fabrics into wearable fashion. And, to present these creations on the runway at the Annual Fashion Lab Fashion Show on October 10th to be considered for our first ever $5000.00 Cash Sustainable Fashion Design award, and much more! This is a collaborative community project designed to bring designers, artists and creative people together to meet, create and have fun.

Challenge Yourself Creatively. Spend 48 hours immersed in creativity. Experiment with ideas you've never tried. Push your design skills. Learn new techniques. Turn forgotten garments into something unforgettable.
Create Alongside Other Designers. One of the most rewarding parts of Fashion Lab Sedona is the community. Instead of working alone in your studio, you'll spend the weekend surrounded by people who love creating just as much as you do. Share ideas. Trade techniques. Encourage one another. Laugh. Collaborate. Be inspired.
Help Fashion Become More Sustainable. Every garment created begins with clothing or materials that already exist. By re-imagining what others might discard, you'll demonstrate that sustainability and creativity belong together.
See Your Work on the Runway, along side local designers and clothing retailers. Every designer has the opportunity to showcase their finished creations during the Fashion Lab Sedona Fashion Show
Awards & Recognition
Designers who choose to enter their work for judging are eligible for our Sustainable Fashion Design Award, featuring:
$4,000 in courses and mentorship from FABRIC Incubator
$1,000 cash award from Fashion Lab Sedona
We’ll also recognize an outstanding Team Player, celebrating the generosity, encouragement, and collaborative spirit that help make Fashion Lab Sedona such a unique creative experience.
Participation in judging is optional. Whether you're inspired by the opportunity for recognition or simply want to spend a weekend creating alongside other artists, Fashion Lab Sedona welcomes both.

If you own a boutique, upcycle shop, creative studio, or handmade fashion business, Fashion Lab Sedona is also a chance to introduce your work to a wider audience.
Your designer profile, runway pieces, program blurb, website feature, photos, and show footage can help people discover your style, your mission, and where to find you after the event.
For upcycle shops especially, this is a beautiful way to show what is possible with secondhand clothing, reclaimed textiles, and creative reuse — while inviting more people to support your business.
